One of the most flamboyant performers of all time, Liberace hosted his own show on American television during the 1950s. As successful as his records and live work, the show featured the usual mixture of classical pieces interspersed with more modern repertoire, all linked by Liberace’s own personality. This mixture made him something of a darling to the grandmothers of America, to whom he almost dedicated his act and ensured Liberace a lasting, if ageing audience. This particular release is something of an accompanying CD to the previously released DVD of one of those television shows.
